Hall A is a flexible hall and the largest section of the Congress Hall. The hall is suited for larger events like conferences, congresses, banquets, parties and so forth. There is also a backstage area, a secretariat and several meeting rooms in connection to the hall. If you need smaller rooms for parallell sessions, group sessions or workshops then we have a good selection to choose from.

Hall A has a 140 sqm permanent stage with backstage area and bathrooms. Standard podium, with a set-up towards the permanent stage is 2 x 12 m where the podium is placed in front of the stage. However, if you have a set-up towards the larger screens in Hall A, the standard podium, is 3 x 10 metres. On the podium there will be a a table for a panel of four people and a lectern unless otherwise is specified.

NLA invited landscape architects from around the world to the IFLA World Congress COMMON GROUND in Oslo, with events spanning over three days. It was important to have professional venue organisers with whom we could have good dialogue throughout the entire planning stage, as well as a venue that was large enough and with enough conference rooms. We chose Oslo Congress Centre and are very happy with that choice!
It was challenging to plan to register and serve up to 1,500 participants at the same time in the foyer, but thanks to our joint efforts, we managed this in such a way that we received feedback saying the atmosphere was calm and pleasant and the execution was professional.
The venues and technical equipment worked perfectly. The solution with the Speaker Preparation Room was very important in order to guarantee the necessary flow and quality with up to 13 parallel sessions in three sections – and a total of over 250 professional presentations.
The staff served seasonal fresh fruit, biscuits and enough water, coffee and tea around the entire congress centre, which we are also very pleased with.

Oslo Congress Centre was very quick to reply to all inquiries and gave us a good degree of confidence during the planning stage. The staff was highly professional and it is clear that they have considerable experience handling both large and small requests.
It is also very positive that Oslo Congress Centre shows that it takes sustainability seriously. By offering certified Green Conferences, they have become climate leaders in practice. The chefs served a delicious vegetarian menu with a focus on local ingredients and even encouraged the re-use of glasses and mugs! Additionally, they made several good climate considerations when it comes to waste, plastic, energy and procurement.
We have run out of superlatives and wish to once again express our thanks for a fantastically implemented GRESS banquet. This year’s feedback is yet again exclusively positive.

You deliver on every level, from the site inspection in 2015 to three years of planning and details and five days of rigging and implementation.
The follow-up was excellent, we received assistance from everyone at OKS and the food service has been very good. With 900 participants at the most, we have seen how well the logistics work. They have control of all venue logistics and the technical aspects were dealt with professionally by Frode and his team. The people we worked with during the event, the receptionists and the janitors, were all pleasant, helpful and patient throughout the entire event. We owe you all a big thank you.
Nomiko uses Oslo Congress Centre for its own courses (avfallskurs.no) and as a course and conference organiser for other organisations. Our experiences with Oslo Congress Centre have been that they are professional in every way and that they solve the tasks equally well, whether there are eight or 350 participants at the event.
The participants specifically mentioned the good food. We would also like to mention the pleasant staff, who are competent and do exactly what is agreed. The technical equipment and technicians ensure a proper and safe implementation of sound and video aspects, so that we can focus on content and participants.
The Norwegian Hull Club held its first event at Oslo Congress Centre in the late summer of 2018 and we quickly noticed that they know what they’re doing.
