EIBTM 2010

Each December the meetings and events industry meet for 3 days at the EIBTM-fair in Barcelona. This year’s 22nd EIBTM attracted 3,125 exhibiting companies from over 90 countries. The number of trade visitors was 4,010. Almost 40 companies represented Norway, one of them Oslo Congress Centre.

The Oslo Congress Centre was represented by the Event Coordinator, Anette Asdal. Anette sums up:  

"It was 3 intense days, with thousands of people passing through 3000 exhibitions from all over the world. A lot them visited the Norwegian exhibition; some were pre-booked meetings, but most of them just stopped by. 

It’s very exciting to be a part of this, and it’s fun to see how interested the guests are in Norway and Oslo as a new host for conferences. A lot of them have realized that it’s not as expensive as they imagine, that it’s value for money, and a lot of them like the idea of hosting an event where not too many have been before."

Since 2010 the Oslo Congress Centre has put an extra focus on the foreign marked. Among other things we have become a partner of the Norwegian Convention Bureau and we are present at the greatest MICE-fairs in Europe; EIBTM in Barcelona and IMEX in Frankfurt.
