The entrance of Oslo Congress Centre

Disabled access

Oslo Congress Centre is designed so that individuals with disabilities can make independent use of all the facilities we have to offer.

Distance and incline rates outdoors from parking to main entrance

There are parking spaces directly outside the main entrance on Youngsgate. There is a ramp with an incline rate of 1:8, with doors that open via motor operated with disabled buttons located both indoors and outdoors. The ramp has a length of 6,370 mm and a height difference of 795 mm.

Vertical and horizontal transport indoors

Elevators for vertical transport and floors with disabled-accessible door openers.

Disabled toilet access

2 disabled toilets in the foyer area that are easily accessible with elevators from all meeting rooms and halls. There is also a disabled toilet in Hall D.

Course room design for speaking platform, audio and lighting conditions.

Risers with disabled ramps that are wheelchair-friendly. Induction loop as needed. Wireless microphones. Good audio conditions. Lighting up to conference lighting standards. Projector with high lighting power and good picture.

Special measures for universal design

In June 2009 we opened a new facility, Forum, which was specially designed to incorporate “universal design”. Forum, which is 140 m², has a threshold-free entrance from street level (via the large Foyer). Just as in other meeting rooms and halls in Oslo Congress Centre, audio, lighting and other technical installations are designed to satisfy all requirements. 2 disabled toilets with no threshold are located close by.
